Dieting doesn't work hunni!!

That 30 day cleanse isn't necessary, they're organs in our bodies that function to cleanse. No bread, no rice, no pasta for 40 days, what happens after you start back eating "white" things? The key to weight loss isn't dieting but making lifestyle changes. The idea is coming up with realistic goals that you can consistently maintain. What does that mean?

Start slowly, are you a soda drinker? Think about the amount you consume daily, now cut it in half! Are you a big snacker? Throw away the chips and add a snack that's delicious, less fat, and maybe the same consistency. Sub chips for low fat popcorn. Popcorn is a whole grain, great for improved bowel function and heart health. At the end of the day, 1 pound is equal to 3500 kcal. If you can decrease your calorie intake by 500 calories or burn 500 more calories per day you can lose 1 pound a week, that's not a gimmick but simple math (500*7=3500)

Keep in mind everyone's needs are specific to that person based on weight, height, age, and sex. That means what works for some might not work for you.

I believe the first lesson must be learning what you're putting in your body. Consider using a calorie counter not to meticulously log every single thing you put in your mouth, but as a guide to determine calorie content in your most consumed foods. If I know that 1 slice of a bread is 100 kcal I might avoid that second sandwich after dinner.

Stay out the kitchen ya'll. Quarantining won't ruin our summer body plans.
